Places We Recommend

Old Hill Village, Hill NH

This well maintained recreation area is a hidden gem, and our favorite place to play. Miles of gravel and grass roads and paths await you for walking, running and biking. The old "main street" follows the river and is flat for the majority of the distance. The many times we've visited we have never run into more than two or three other people. Follow the Rte 3 A out of Bristol towards Franklin and watch for the Profile Falls signs. At the end of the road leading to Profile Falls you'll find a parking area and gate.

The Loon Center

183 Lee's Mills Rd, Moultonboro, NH

The Loon Preservation Committee (LPC) was created in 1975 in response to concerns about a dramatically declining loon population and the effects of human activities on loons. LPC’s mission is to restore and maintain a healthy population of loons throughout New Hampshire; to monitor the health and productivity of loon populations as sentinels of environmental quality; and to promote a greater understanding of loons and the larger natural world.

The Loon Center maintains a network of walkin trails that are ideal for well behaved dogs and their owners.
