Frequently Asked Questions

Q) When can I drop off and pick up my dog for daycare?
A)
Drop off is between 7:00 - 9:00 am and pickup is between 4:30 - 6:30 pm. There is no Day Camp on Wednesdays or Sundays.

Q) Do you allow exceptions to your hours?
A)
All drop off and pickups must be during our regular hours. This allows us time to train, exercise and work with the dogs without interruption. If these hours are violated, you will be asked not to return.

Q) What happens if I can't make it back in time to make your pickup times?
A)
If you're unable to make our PM pickup hours then your dog will be kept for overnight boarding and charged the current nightly boarding rate.

Q) What services do you offer for Day Camp?
A)
Please download our "Day Camp Services and Price Sheet". This form is in PDF format so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it. Nearly every computer comes with Acrobat reader installed.

Q) What vaccinations do you require?
A)
We require: Rabies, Dhlpp ( or a variation of the Distemper complex) and Bordatella. Bordatella is the Canine Cough vaccine and not routinely given with your dog's regular vaccinations. Please double check with your vet as to whether or not your dog has this vaccine. If your dog doesn't have all three vaccinations, he will not be accepted for daycare. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Q) Will you administer medications?
A)
We will happily administer medications to your dog. There's a small fee for this service.

Q) Will my dog be fed while he is there? Can I bring my own food?
A)
Dogs are fed Natural 26 dry food at lunch time. We will happily feed your own food if you prefer. Please package only enough for one meal. We will not accept large bags or large storage containers of food for Day Camp. If your food requires refridgeration, there will be a small fee charged.

Q) Are dogs allowed to play together in group?
A)
Yes, after an introduction and assesment. Please let us know ahead of time if your dog has a history of aggression or fence climbing.

Q) How long have you been in business?
A)
Ebony Kennel was opened in 1985 and White Mountain K9 Academy was started in 1993, rebranded as White Mountain College for Pets in 2009 to better represent our extensive training offerings. Both businesses are highly respected and recommeded.

Q) Do you offer any discounts for recurring guests?
A)
Absolutely! We offer a number of discount programs. Please download our "Day Camp Services and Price Sheet" for the full list of discounts.

Q) My dog is older, can he still come?
A)
Yes! We cater to older and nervous dogs. Older dogs will be allowed a relaxed visit on one of our comfortable Kuranda beds. Slow and gentle walks, joint soothing swimming or massage are a few options popular with our elderly clientel.

Q) What is the youngest dog you will accept?
A)
Four months is the youngest dog we will accept.

Q) Where can I find directions to your facility?
A)
Directions are found on our contact page. Please contact us if your question wasn't answered here.
