	Every Dog Should Know Basic Obedience Imagine it: A stress free training experience structured specifically for your dog's personality type. His eyes sparkle as he happily thinks about what you're asking of him, then responds immediately. At White Mountain College for Pets our professional instructors pride themselves in providing a gentle, yet effective approach to dog training. Each personality is different, but with over a decade of experience with many types of dogs, we are sure to have an approach and program to best suit your situation and dog. Our Basic Obedience program utilizes the latest advances in animal science to deliver you twice the material in half the time of most other training programs. We offer a six week comprehensive course and a three week accelerated course. Our Basic Obedience Program will provide you with the following beginner skills: Sit • Down • Come • Stay • Sit-Up • Leave-It • Heel • Stand • Mild Distractions Advance Obedience We take you to the next level with our Advanced Obedience Program. You will refine the primary commands you learned in our Basic Obedience Program, proof your dog to multiple distractions and develop a strong understanding of how dogs learn. The skills learned in this program will prime your dog for the AKC Novice Title. Skills include: Hand Signals • Finish • Distraction Proofing • Drop on Recall • Recall over Jumps Canine Good Citizen Started in 1989 by the American Kennel Club, CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. The required 10 test items are: Accepting a friendly stranger Sitting politely for petting Appearance and grooming Walking on a loose lead Walking through a crowd Sit and Down on command and Staying in place Coming when called Reaction to another dog Reaction to distraction Supervised separation
